Sumatran Tiger

Today I hand fed a very rare Sumatran Tiger named "Brownie" at the Australian National Zoo. What a beautiful animal and what a shame we are driving them to extinction.

Canberra

There's gold in them thar hills!

The proprietor of this shop just down Church Street from Peggy's apartment in Parramatta assured me that it is indeed possible to find significant amounts of gold about 3-4 hours west of town.

Pelicans at The Entrance

The Oz branch of Cowpath

Peggy's company sent her to Australia to manage a project and she has been down here since 11 September. I flew down on 6 October and will be back in the states 28 October.

First impressions of Australia are positive. The air is clean, the people generally friendly and laid back. Peg and I toured Sydney Harbour by boat my first day. Then Sunday we drove up the Pacific Coast Highway as far north as Newcastle. We visited The Entrance as well.

I will post as many of our pictures as I can to the blog.

G'day!
